Meet the Team

Dr. Emily Zakrajsek

DVM - Dr. Emily Zakrajsek - Practice Owner

After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018, Dr Emily began practicing veterinary medicine in Tillsonburg as a mixed animal veterinarian. Having been horse-crazy her whole life, she quickly fell in love with equine practice, but also maintains a passion for working on species of all kinds.  Not one to sit still, she spends her time outside of work at the gym, walking her 4 dogs and riding/spending time with her horses. In 2021 Dr. Emily and her husband Eric started their own practice: Talbot Road Veterinary Services. Since then Dr Emily has been able to further her knowledge and skills in equine lameness & imaging, equine dentistry and soft tissue surgeries for all species.

Dr. Carleigh Cathcart

Associate DVM - Dr. Carleigh Cathcart

Raised on a hobby farm in Peterborough, ON, Dr. Carleigh quickly developed a love for animals of every kind. Her favourite thing about mixed animal medicine is the constant learning, challenge, and reward that comes with treating a wide variety of species. Graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021, Dr. Carleigh is passionate about animal welfare and behaviour, and regularly completes continuing education to improve the human-animal bond. She is Fear Free certified in feline, canine, equine, and avian care, and is currently expanding her knowledge of more exotic species. Dr. Carleigh is known around the clinic for her love of donkeys, pigs, chickens, and puns. When not at work, she can be found cheering for the Leafs, reading a newspaper, and occasionally, sleeping.

Dr. Courtney Anderson

Dr. Courtney completed her Bachelor of Science Honours in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. Growing up with an equine background and having a passion to work with a variety of species, mixed animal veterinary medicine was her desired field. After growing up on beautiful Georgian bay, Dr. Courtney embarked on a new adventure, relocating to the Delhi area and joining the Talbot Road team. Although she likes a little bit of everything, Dr. Courtney’s professional interests include: ophthalmology, small animal nutrition, surgery, preventive care and community outreach. She is dedicated to continuing her education in multiple species and areas of veterinary medicine in order to provide the best care possible to her patients. When Dr. Courtney isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her dogs (Bentley and Chance), riding horses, baking, hiking, camping and boating.

When not at work she enjoys spending most of her time with her family and her many animals which includes her dogs (Hooch and Bailey), her goats (Bonnie and Clyde) and her “heart” horse Mo.
